LESSON 3
Build a white cross
The first real step of a solve: a white plus on top where every edge ALSO matches the center on its side. Two edges are already home in this demo — the other two are parked downstairs, waiting to be aimed and flipped up.
- The cross is four white edges around the white center. Each edge has a second color, and that color must match its side center — the match matters more than the plus.
- The recipe per edge: park it in the bottom layer (the waiting room), spin the BOTTOM until it sits under its own center, then flip that face 180° to lift it in.
- Why the bottom spin does the aiming: spinning the top would un-match the edges you already placed. The bottom layer is free to turn — nothing up top notices.
- Then watch the demo: 3 moves. Big arrows tell you what to turn — the little letters are just name tags.
